Senior Software Engineer – Core C#, .Net, MS SQL Server, Aurora, Oracle, LINQ, Lambda, Containers, Mock, ORM, NAnt, NUnit, Web Services, APIs, CI/CD Full Time

Our client for over a decade, a major technology consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, C# .Net. You will design and develop technology based business solutions for our clients. You may be required to play a team lead role for a small team and/or take on responsibility for the development for a specific component or track of the solution architecture. At all times you will actively support the development in an Agile setup, and drive quality assurance during design and realization of the solution.

Responsibilities:

• Apply your technology and functional know-how to design, develop, implement and maintain IT solutions for our clients within an agile development lifecycle.
• Lead design, estimation and planning tasks for the solution using technical and functional expertise.
• Generate and review estimates, which include anticipated risks.
• Facilitate clients in meetings to capture business requirements and develop solution design using best practice/design patterns.
• Be responsible for quality for your development track/team throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of software development experience in Core C#/.NET
• Experience in working in a Scrum/Agile project setup (Jira, Confluence, CI/CD)
• Significant, hands-on experience in solution design, architectural analysis within complex systems or portals.
• Strong experience in writing high quality code with full automated unit test coverage according to design standards, patterns
• Proficient in one or more Relational Databases: Oracle, MS SQL Server, Aurora
• Hands-on experience with creating APIs and webservices
• Proficient understanding of new language features like LINQ and lambda expressions.
• Significant experience in at least one IOC Container, Mock Framework and ORM Framework, NAnt and NUnit.
• Excellent knowledge of OOAD, UML, Design Patterns and Data Structures.
• Significant experience in WinForms, WPF, Silverlight and WCF is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of energy & commodities space is a plus
• Ability to abstract detail into larger (repeatable) patterns, familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Openness to travel and work at client offices.
