Leading our client's AdOps team in based in Tokyo, Japan, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing USD $MM ad campaigns. Highly data driven, you are an expert in Excel and SQL, have a solid understanding of digital marketing economics, and can break complex problems down into discrete, solvable parts. You also have excellent presentation and customer communication skills and are excited by the opportunity to work directly with clients to solve their most pressing problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our ad operations team in Japan
  • Manage and optimize mobile display RTB ad campaigns and programmatic direct campaigns
  • Build data segments using our state of the art data management tools
  • Measure the effectiveness of data segments in ad campaigns
  • Analyze large data sets using SQL and BI tools to provide unique insights to advertising clients
  • Support sales personnel on client pitches
  • Serve as our professional services representative in Japan
  • Proactively participate in product development by sharing ideas and communicating market feedback to product teams based in the US
  • Assist in defining and improving accounting and finance business processes

Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least 4 years experience in real time bidding systems ad operations management and ad economics
  • Excellent knowledge of Japanese Advertisers and Agencies, with strong contacts at agency trading desks
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS and SQL
  • Display campaign exerptise and search campaign management experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills with a collaborative attitude
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A driven and disciplined individual with a strong work ethic
  • Fluency in Japanese; comfortable communicating in English
  • B.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative field

Nice to Have

  • Basic experience with UNIX-based command line interface (CLI) and data log analysis (grep, awk, etc.)
  • Knowledge of 3rd party data and pricing in RTB ecosystems
